RDPLAN Engine Oil
Vehicles with an engine oil tank (MOTOROIL) now depend on it, just like in real life:
- Oil usage grows with ENGINE TEMPERATURE, not with RPM: normal up to 50 °C, about 2.5x at 70 °C, about 4.4x at 85 °C and 6x at 95 °C. It also follows the game's fuel usage setting.
- Below 15 %: the engine loses power progressively (down to 50 %) and takes visible damage (faster when hot), whether working or not.
- At 0 %: sudden damage and the engine seizes a few seconds later.
- The engine will not start with less than 10 % oil.
- Warm-up: the vehicle cannot move until the engine reaches 50 °C. Idle warm-up is assisted.
- With the engine off it cools down to the map's outside temperature (the base game never cools it).
- Refill through the vehicle's own oil fill node, or through the DEF/fuel point if it has none.
- Own oil gauge: level (2 decimals), percentage and engine temperature with colours (blue = cold). "Move oil gauge" (default: Left Ctrl + O) turns on move mode; drag it by clicking on it.
- Console command: rdplanOilInfo (level, temperature, usage per hour, power, damage and fill node).
Setup (in each vehicle XML):
- At the end of each fillUnitConfiguration:
- In each consumerConfiguration:
Requires FS25_CrudeOilProduction (MOTOROIL). Recommended in multiplayer: FS25_RDPLAN_VehicleSync (engine temperature for players).
